At Hounds in Homes, we don't believe in rushing greyhounds into homes simply because someone is waiting to adopt.

Every greyhound is an individual. We take the time to get to know them in foster care, understand their personality, needs and quirks, and then look for the home that is right for that particular hound.

We don't match greyhounds to homes based on who applies first. We match them based on what is right for the hound.

We Don't Rush

There are always greyhounds needing homes, and we understand the urgency. But rushing a greyhound into the wrong home doesn't help anyone.

Our greyhounds spend time in foster care so we can learn who they really are as pets. We look beyond the obvious and consider the individual greyhound, the family, the lifestyle and the home.

We're not looking for the fastest adoption. We're looking for the right one.
