I will not physically abuse, neglect, starve or harm the greyhound in any way.
I am adopting the greyhound solely as a domestic pet for myself and/or my family.
I will keep my greyhound up to date on all vaccinations - C7.
I will make sure that the dog has enough food and water to maintain a healthy weight.
I will make sure that the greyhound has adequate shelter.
I will ensure that the greyhound gets the necessary requirement of daily exercise.
I will never allow the greyhound to roam.
I will register the greyhound with the local council, Lifetime registration is included in your adoption fee.
I have received a document telling me all about the dog including an assessment of the dog’s needs and behavior and I understand that no guarantee is made regarding the health or temperament of this dog.
I will obey all laws concerning leashes and waste removal.
I understand that Hounds in Homes is not liable for any injury or damage caused by the dog once the animal is in my charge.
I acknowledge the recommendation that the dog should be entered into the Greyhounds program.
If the adoption is not successful during a trial period of 2 weeks from the date of adoption, I agree to return the dog to Hounds In Homes and a refund less $100 will be issued.
If the dog becomes ill during the 2-week trial I will contact the carer or Hounds in Homes vet for advice.
Coordinator’s Declaration (Hounds In Homes Representative):
I, Trisha Murphy, (Hounds in Homes representative), attest to the following information as being factual and true.
We have provided the Greyhound with Flea/Tick/Wormer treatment and given details to the adopter.
The dog is desexed and has provided the certificate to the adopter.
We have informed the adopter about any known health issues of the greyhound, as well as any medication.
We have completed an assessment to the best of our abilities and have made no misrepresentations regarding the temperament, age or medical status of the dog.
