A Bit About Me

Meet Winter – Our Beautiful Girl
Winter is a sweet, intelligent, and loving dog who came to us from the pound. Though she's not a purebred greyhound, she does have some greyhound in her mix, along with a bit of English Bull Terrier, making her a truly unique girl.
Winter has adapted to living with her buddy Dougie, though she prefers to have her food to herself, so she’ll need a home where mealtime boundaries are respected.
She’s incredibly smart, learns quickly, and has been doing a great job with her training – she’s making wonderful progress!
Winter would thrive in a home that makes her part of the family, surrounded by love and attention. She’d especially love a big garden so she can run, play, and explore. Although she enjoys company, Winter is also perfectly content to relax and snuggle up when left alone.
Winter’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Unfortunately, she suffered an injury just days after joining us, but we’re pleased to say she is doing well. We will happily discuss her recovery process with her future owners to ensure she continues to live her best life.
Winter suits a family with high fences and no cats or small dogs. She’s an extraordinary girl, and we know that she will continue to shine with the right family.
Could you be the family Winter is waiting for?

Hounds in Homes acknowledges we are living and working on Aboriginal land. We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia, and their ongoing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their culture and to Aboriginal Elders, past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
